She Bought 8 Items!

That never happens to me!
I rarely have a customer that buys multiple items.  But as we were out at dinner tonight I checked my phone and BOOM!  There they all were!  I was pretty excited about that!

I've been only getting a few things listed here and there this month but here are a few of my favorites that I'm hoping will go quickly!
Kate Mack pink cheetah faux fur coat size 4T with velvet and crystal detail

I'm trying hard to get my inventory organized and making some plans for the New Year.  Just little things that I think would help business more.  How about you?  Are you making any changes to what you sell or how you sell it for 2014?

Been Awhile...

Hello!  It's been awhile hasn't it?
We are in full swing of a major house remodel and will start living in our basement for a few weeks starting on Monday.  I'm cooking in the garage and lucky to find the kids clean undies these day!
But it will SO SO worth it when it is done!

So selling has taken a backseat to surviving the mess around here.  I'm just trying to relist ending items and keep things moving.  But sales have pretty much come to a screeching halt.  I hardly ever run sales and I've even got those going this weekend hoping to encourage someone, somewhere to buy something!

So with no new items that I've bought, I thought I would show you a few of my favorite listings right now that I would love to see go!

How are all your sales doing?  Better than mine I hope?!

Garage Sale Stories! September-ish?

I skipped going to yard sales this week thinking I would be off on a romantic getaway with my sweetie for our 12 year anniversary.  But strep throat took over the house and instead I laid around playing on Pinterest, watching Shark Tank and helping my 5th grader with his homework.

Not romantic OR productive for my eBay store.  I guess I just needed to slow it down this weekend?  The bright side was that at least I didn't have strep throat on my wedding day, right?!

Sales have been AWESOME this week!  I have been hovering around 450-460 listings and had over $800 in sales this week.  I LOVE this time of year on eBay!

Here are a few things I picked up last weekend when I went out.

Chaps red plaid ruffle front shirt, large (12) new without tags

September through November are my biggest months.  I'm so glad that I really upped my listings, normally I have half this but I can really see a difference in sales adding more and listing a few every day!

Garage Sale Stories! August 3rd

The kids are back in school and I have been listing like CRAZY trying to get my numbers up!
August and September are usually my biggest earning months and I really want to capitalize on that this year and get some money put away.
I'm 50 listings higher than usual but I'd like to hit my goal of 400 by the months end.

I went out sans kids this weekend and I didn't have too much luck.  Here are a few things I managed to pick up:
Anthropologie Fever Dress Size 2 - New with tags! By Ruby Belle
.50 cents from the lady who was so excited to tell me how much she paid for it but it just hung in her closet.

I was a bit bummed out to go home still having a ton of ones in my wallet.  I think my bank ladies now know I'm a crazy yard sale lady.  I go in every Friday to cash out a bunch of ones from my checking account and they always give me the strangest looks!

OH!
My best sale this week made me shriek with delight when I saw it!  My kids were even high fiving me over it!  :)
I picked up this St. John denim jacket a few weeks ago for $1.
Sold for $180 this week!
Crossing my fingers for positive feedback and no return!

Garage Sale Stories! July 6th

I really needed to find a few things to list today and I didn't come up with much.  Not surprised right?  Since we all know 4th of July weekend is a bust for sales.  I found a few, but I am really needing to hit it hard next week to pick up some more inventory!

This is what I found...

(I had never heard of this brand before - it just looked nice!  I tried to get my husband to keep it but he thought it was too "back east prep school" for him, which is just as well because this brand can fetch a pretty penny!)

Now...who can say Columbiafest?
It's right here....I found a ton of it!

I also found this Spyder Boys Ski Jacket size 4

It's been over 100 degrees here this week and it's almost painful to list these winter items.  But if it's not listed, you can't sell it!  I start a bin for winter clothes around April and start listing them in July.  With sales being a bit slower it gives me a chance to catch up with organizing my inventory and get a head start for fall back to school shoppers!

Garage Sale Stories! June 29th

There is nothing I like better than the words "Community Yard Sale."
Especially when it's in a nicer development or part of town.   Greg and I left the house a little late Saturday morning but I had a pocket full of cash and knew there were at least 10-15 houses close together to hit.
I found this gorgeous Oilily 2t Dress for $2!

This one already sold for $25.00 - a Speed Control 3x dress I picked up for $2
Cabela's Thinsulate Fur lined boots Size 6 (New with tags!)

These shoes were 50 cents per PAIR!  Crazy, right?
I'm not complaining at all!

I spent a LOT of time this last week resizing all of my pictures for my listings.  What a pain in the neck!  And now my printer is dying on me.  I REALLY need to bite the bullet and buy a thermal printer.  Anyone have one that they love and can recommend?  I'm just so over buying ink, paper and cutting/taping every package!

My Marchesa Find

I couldn't resist...
I saw the blue fluffy tulle and my heart skipped a beat.
A Marchesa dress by PEARL Georgina Chapman for JCP.
Saw the tags still on and SWOOSH!
Into my cart it went.
I let Lauren try it on when I got home.
She beamed in the mirror looking at herself in it.
Who knows when it will sell, but it makes me smile every time I see it in my closet waiting for it's new owner.
