Holiday Weekend

Hope you all had a Happy Fourth of July!  

We realized late in the game that we didn't have plans so we quickly invited some friends over to BBQ, play games and light fireworks.  

The party got a little out of control when the kids started going upstairs and walking around the roof but I'm sure that will be an awesome memory for them later on.

But never again since they've been banned from the roof except to hang Christmas lights!!! YIKES!!  That stressed me out.

I had a few sales this week!  

I've been working like crazy to add listings and finally things are selling!

This Eddie Bauer shirt has been taking up space here for over a year.  I bought it for $3.00 and it sold for $29.99 and I am SO glad it's off to a better place.

Vacation Settings

I never expect a ton of sales in December due to my type of inventory.  Let's face it, not a lot of people are shopping for used clothing this time of year.  I've only had eight sales since I turned my vacation settings back off last week.  

Even though I KNOW this - it doesn't stop my from HATING the bins of clothes that take up part of my basement.  It's one thing to know they are moving out as I bring more in, but right now it just feels like more and more keep accumulating.

I was going to go out today to do some Christmas shopping but my husband got called into work leaving me with the kids today.  Tonight we have his work Christmas party, always a nice dinner at a country club but a little forced conversation with people I don't know at all.  I'm not the best at small talk.  :(  Wish me luck!

My Fickle Love

Oh the highs and lows of selling online!  Last week I was about to scream and throw all my inventory out into the garbage - sales were SO SO bad!

This week?  I have been doing a happy dance all week! 

Weekly sales before fees have topped out at $974.00

Dressers paid for and delivered.  Nightstands are on backorder - should be here by end of December.    

To top off the great sales, my local thrift store had a 50% off all clothing for Veteran's Day.  I was able to stock up and get quite a few new great items to list at great prices.

I've changed my listings up by revamping titles and lowering prices a tad - perhaps I was being a bit too greedy.  Whatever it is, it's working!  How are your November sales going?

Back Up and Running!

I had surgery on February 1st and had expected to turn my store off for "Vacation" for at least 2 weeks.  It lasted 5 days.  What can I say?  I'm recovering nicely and I'm addicted to the "Cha-CHING!" sound my phone makes with a sale!  

I'm so glad I did too...sales have been slow but steady and I've been pleased to make some cash this week!

I was SUPER excited to wake up yesterday morning to see this Ralph Lauren purple label sample jacket sold. 

 Happy Valentine's Day to me!  

Let's cross our fingers that the buyer doesn't return it.  You never know...

If it sticks then preschool is paid for, for the next two months.

I haven't been able to go out shopping while I recover but have a few things I've re-listed to keep things moving.

Found this fun little pink Pookie pig...he needs a good home.

I'd really like to see this Chico's Dress gone, I've had it for awhile and not sure why it hasn't sold?  Brand new with tags too! 

Looking forward to getting out in another week or two to add to the inventory!

Last Minute Merry Sales!

Merry Christmas - I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with friends and family.  You can see what our family adventures were here. 

 

I am waiting to see if I am getting surgery done next Monday.  Thanks to my lovely insurance company for this procrastination and putting me on emotional pins and needles. 

So I haven't been shopping at all, since I don't know if I will be closing my store for 2-3 weeks in January!  Ack.

I did have some great last minute sales.  My goal was to make enough at the end of the month to pay for January preschool and so far I'm $45 short of that.  Hoping a few meager sales before the new year will take care of that.

I sold this HD kids bomber jacket on a local FB site.  I bought it for $5 then got it home and found a few flaws that would keep me from selling it online.  I sold it for $6 and was happy to be rid of it. Sometimes mistakes are made, you know?

I've sold a pair of Big Star Remy jeans for the 3rd time.  Bought at a yard sale for $1.50 I think?  Sold for $29.00 

 Hoping this is a "3rd time is a charm" thing since the measurements are spot on but they keep getting returned.

Quick Sale!

I just purchased this Ann Taylor Loft Skirt on Monday and sold it today for $25.00 plus shipping.  

I love it when a quick sale can pay for an entire shopping trip!  

All the other 20 something items from that trip will now be pure profit!

(Which is good - I have to start paying Lauren's world most expensive preschool tuition next month!)

Lights OUT!

Don't get me wrong, it's been nice to have a break from taking pictures, listing items, running to the post office - but I don't think this week could be ANY slower for sales.  Just miserable!  

$107.00 for the entire week.  Funny how when I started doing this that would be A GREAT week!  I'm getting greedy, aren't I?!

I've been cleaning out the kids rooms, toy bins and making my own donation pile of things we no longer need.   Some of which I've turned into random listings.  I usually stay away from kids lots, but thought I would go for it and see what happens.
