I wanted to post a picture from my Kroger/Smith's trip today! They are doubling coupons up to a dollar for three days and I was thinking of skipping out at first.
I realized I had a lot of the coupons for the P&G promo that were expiring and now would be a good time to stockpile on some things we use.
Target has these Embark insulated lunch bags for $3.99.
If you look inside the bag there is a coupon to get 6 free Parents magazines OR...a refund valued up to $4.96!
Since I am already an ideal parent with no need for any further advice (ha!) I opted for the refund. But make sure your bag has the card inside of it to do this!!
There is also a booklet full of 8 coupons! Sweet!
While I was there I used this coupon to get these pens for .20 cents!
My fridge and freezer were getting a tad overloaded from recent shopping trips. I decided to take an hour this morning and make a few quick meals out of things.
Three small servings of chicken enchiladas. I only put four in each Pyrex since the minis don't like these. Dan and I love them so it's enough for our dinner and lunch the next day also.
I made some quick meatballs to freeze and then realized I should just serve them tonight. All I need is to cook some noodles and heat some soup in the microwave. Add a green salad and it's an easy dinner!
I love doing freezer meals - I've found I save a lot of money by spending an hour here and there and then meals are ready to go on nights I don't feel like cooking. (These are the nights we would've gone out to eat!)
I've got a few freezer recipes over HERE but I am working on trying a few new ones out when the boys are back in school in two more weeks.
Smith's/Kroger has some great deals going on right now. General Mills cereals are $6.00 off when you buy 4 boxes, making them $1.49 each. I had 4 CTC coupons, one for $1.00 and three for 60 cents off...making my total for 4 boxes of cereal only $3.16 or .79 cents each!
I did this yesterday also when I ran in there in the morning for milk and stocked up on Cheerios (with added coupons as well for those!)
I just don't want anyone thinking I feed my kids junk cereal only!
American Beauty pasta is .50 cents a bag
(Cheap! Usually the lowest pasta goes is .88 cents!)
The apple juice was marked down from $2.99 each to .99 cents a bottle I don't let my kids drink juice a lot but this is great to have on hand for a special breakfast once in a while.
I picked up a few other odds and ends - total came to $66
The boys were at grandpa craft camp so I took Lauren to spend some coupons that were burning a hole in my pocket. I did pretty good I think - everything I bought was on rollback and I saved $21 in coupons on top of that. It's a random list though.
Pictured is about 1/3 of what I brought home.
