Price Matching

I love it when the WinCo ads come in the mail.  They always have such great coupons!
My only problem is I never get over to WinCo to use them!  This week had some great coupons so I took them to Wal-Mart to do some price matching.
It's SO easy!
Santitas chips normally $2.00  per bag = .78 cents
Saltine crackers = .78 cents
3 lbs chicken breasts normally $6.98 = $3.98
TP normally $5.98 = $3.98
Bertolini = .98 cents
Bar S bacon = normally  $3.76 = .98 cents each

I have a few more but I had to leave to get Graham from school....going back to use those.  Wal-Mart is great about price matching these deals if you have the coupons and don't go over the limit number.  I was really pleased with the savings though!

Wal-Mart Deals

I went in for a few things at Wal-Mart today and noticed that they have Grandma Sycamore's Bread at $1.22 a loaf!
Usually it runs from $2.00 - $2.50 a loaf so that is a GREAT deal!  I stocked up my freezer drawer with bread - Dan and the boys love that stuff.

I also stocked up on Heinz Ketchup...they had 40 oz bottles for $1.00!!!!  Another amazing deal!  Especially for Heinz!  I use a lot of ketchup in BBQ sauces and crock pot cooking in the fall - so I am set for awhile!

Eucerin Sample!

There is a new free sample from the Wal-Mart website.  This is for Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Lotion.
Go here to fill out your address and it will be in the mail to you soon!

I check the Wal-Mart website often for these and have gotten some great free samples in the mail!  They are great travel sizes to throw in your purse or glove box - or just to have extra on hand.
It's also nice to get something in the mail besides bills and junk mail!

Even Better Windex Deal? Crazy!

So I go through a lot of this stuff...and at the price from earlier this week I decided to stock up.
Having three kids can get messy, you know?
I only had time to run into Wal-Mart...I figured their prices would be close enough...but I was so so WRONG!
$2.50 each.  But when they rang up - they rang up at $2.37!  Then I had the peelie coupons.  So $1.82 each!
Then I filled out two more of these.  $10.00 more back.
Which makes the Windex being .15 cents EACH with the rebate!!
Boo-yah!

Plus two stamps if you want to get all technical on me....

Wal-Mart Price Match-Ups!

I did some quick price matching on my shopping trip to Wal-Mart this afternoon.

The key for me to do this and not feel like I am going to throw up with nerves is by picking the nicest looking checker.  I don't mean this in a beauty contest sort of way, but more in a "Who will be the nicest to me?" sort of way.
I have no idea who this girl is, but see what I mean?  She looks nice.  Patient.  She will coo at my daughter and when I tell her I have coupons she says things like "I do that too!  That is SO great!"
Totally pushing my luck but you know what I mean.

I had printed out a TON of coupons from here last night and had a few clipped from my binder as well...so when combining that with store flyers, it can start to feel confusing if you are fairly new to couponing.
(I'm still a novice, for only doing this about 6 months now!)

Was it worth it?  You decide...

6 Tubes Colgate toothpaste
Wal-Mart Price: 97 cents
I paid: 88 cents

6 loaves Grandma Sycamore Bread
Wal-Mart Price: $2.00
I paid: $1.66

6 packages baby wipes
Wal-Mart Price: $1.97
I paid: 88 cents

10 boxes 16 oz asst Barilla Pasta
Wal-Mart Price: $1.37
I paid: 88 cents

So just by bringing in another stores flyer, I was able to stock up on a few items I needed and for our food storage.  With little effort I had about a 35% savings!
I'll take it!

Free Sara Lee Pies At Wal-Mart!

Rumor on the street  (ha ha....how lame of me) is that Wal-Mart has their Sara Lee pies on rollback to $1.00!!

Go here to get your $1.00 Sara Lee coupon and get a pie for free!  Don't forget you can hit the backbutton on your browser and print this twice!

UPDATE:  I went this morning and my Wal-Mart did not have these on Rollback.  It seems like my Wal-Mart is always a week or two behind on some of these deals I see on other blogs.  So I'm keeping my eyes open and I'll let you know when/if it happens!  Make sure you print the coupons out NOW though before they disappear!

Great Lunchables Deal!

Normally these sell for $1.57 each at my Wal-Mart so you could grab these for only .82 cents with the new coupon out!  We love Lunchables around here, especially Graham (hooray for easy school lunches!)  so I was super excited to see this coupon offered.
Grab it here!

*Wanted to add I just used my two coupons for these earlier today - so two lunches for .82 cents each!  Love it!

Shivering Like a Chihuahua in the Check-Out Lane

Using coupons at Wal-Mart ALWAYS makes me feel this way.  I do everything right.  I find the "nice and friendly" looking cashier.  I have my coupons ready and ask the cashier if they would like them before or at the end of the transaction.  I make sure every purchase item matches the coupons correctly.
Blah, blah, blah.
But tonight was different.  Scary even.

And yet as the line behind me grows (the nice cashier was also the slooooooow one) I start to get nervous.  Shaky and shivering nervous.  I look down and my hands are trembling like a CHIHUAHUA!
The people behind me are tense and getting upset.  Testy if you will.
It is then that I realize that I have made the grave and dangerous mistake of paying with coupons in the cigarette purchase lane.
Oh for the love of a sequined collar these people are twitchy fingered waiting to get their next fix and here I am having the cashier ask me to find the milk in my cart that I was supposed to get for free.
Good news is I made it out alive with a few birthday and Christmas toys to put away (50% off of CLEARANCE prices!) and I knocked $25 off my bill using coupons. WHEW!

Old Navy and Wal-Mart Deals!

Old Navy is having their 50% off of clearance sale (I know- that means CHEAP, right!?)  Whoot!

I walked in and was sad to see ZERO items in the baby girl section.  I mean, it was cleaned out!  Crazy!   But I had a 10% off coupon and I was determined to use it!

But even with my aversion for chaos shopping, I decided to dig through a few piles and lo and behold, found about 8 shirts for Graham, as well as a jacket.  A zippered hoodie for Dan ($5.00 and I'm not positive I should be calling his jacket a hoodie...is that super girlie?) I even scored this darling red wool coat for me that was originally $69.50 for $10.00!!!!

All the shirts for Graham are a size bigger than he wears now but I am just putting them away for his birthday this next fall.
Total amount of items at regular price: $186.00
I spent: $37.41
Savings of approximately 80%!!!

I was so thrilled I buzzed into Target to check out the toy clearance.  The Target close to me had toys at 50% off but nothing that great.  Well this one had them 75% off and they were....GONE.

It was very strange to see empty isles like that at Target. It was like a ghost town in there!  I decided it was just as well and went to leave but on my way out I spotted this sweet dress in a Black Watch plaid .
Picked it up for $6.00 whole dollars and in LuLu's closet it will go for future use!
